STRANGER THINGS
The Stranger Things Season 5 launch brief was simple yet deceptively hard; make fans feel like they were ordering from the real town of Hawkins. Our answer was Hawkins Diner, a 1980s-style diner created as original IP for the franchise. We blended nostalgic Americana with subtle, sinister nods to the Upside Down, then layered in fandom-fuelled in-jokes through a community noticeboard style of bespoke ads that felt straight from the 80s.
The results saw £1m+ GMV generated in the first few weeks of launch with 120 restaurants live at launch, achieving rapid national scale. The campaign was designed to behave like entertainment and audiences responded accordingly. The campaign saw 31 million total impressions across social and influencer activity, 3.7 million total reach and 120k clicks driven from social content. This confirmed Hawkins Diner’s ability to cut through culture, not just food marketing noise.

Working with Sessions, we brought Netflix’s Squid Game to life through a Korean fried chicken menu (to die for) and a bold, recognisable dining experience inspired by the hit TV show. The launch generated over £500k in the first few weeks, delivered more than 67,000 orders, and drove 3.2 million views.
The Squid Game launch showed how a global entertainment IP can translate into real commercial performance when strategy, food and design are aligned.
